Every machinist knows the production is where you make your money, but we also know without prototypes, there is no production.
Every fortune starts with that first part. The part you can hold in your hand, use as a selling tool to investors, or a stepping stone to a better design.
At B&Z Manufacturing we have made thousands of machined prototype parts for major manufacturers, small start-ups, and all the way down to parts for our friends and neighbors.
So although most of the time prototype work barely pays the bills, it builds relationships with customers that production runs just don't. Working hand in hand with engineers and designers gives everyone the opportunity to get to know one another, and when that first part becomes a reality there is no greater moment for the designer or the machinist than seeing a dream come to life.

Quality Assurance inspection
Other shops can machine parts, but B&Z can machine them with tight tolerances every time. When a part is completed it is taken to our QA department, where we have several state-of-the-art computer controlled measuring machines. We have three full-time inspectors at B&Z. All tools, equipment, and parts are calibrated, documented, and filed according to ISO 9001:2015 specifications.
